What is Clothes for Kids?
This is a clothing drive to provide a brand new outfit for homeless students to begin the new school year. Currently there are over 900 homeless children in District #205.
How You Can Help?
Stop by the display at the Mall and select a hanger card that will list specific items and sizes that will help clothe one of the students. Volunteers on duty will help you and answer any questions you may have. You then go and shop for those items and return them to the display.
What If I Don’t Like to Shop?
The familiar red kettle of The Salvation Army will be there to receive any monetary donation you would like to make. This money will be used to purchase the clothing needed.
Are Volunteers Needed?
Volunteers are needed for either two or three-hour shifts at the Mall, to shop following the drive. as well as sort and pack clothing boxes for each student. To volunteer please call 815·962·7207.
Can Used Merchandise Be Accepted?
No. the purpose of the drive Is to collect new clothing items which will help each student feel confident when returning to school.
