Children the K-12th grade are invited to learn music through our music ministry and character building. Dinner is also served, Wednesdays at 4:45Pm-8Pm, Begins again September 10, 2014.
The Salvation Army of Waukegan offers after school care for children 5 and older in the Waukegan area. Children are assisted with their homework, receive an after school snack, and have play time until their guardian arrives. The After School Program runs Monday through Friday until 6 p.m. The Salvation Army of Waukegan follows the Waukegan School District Calendar. The cost is $25 per week per child and financial assistance may be available to those who qualify. The Salvation Army of Waukegan does offer school pick-up of participants from certain local schools. The Salvation Army of Waukegan Paper Panty offers free toiletries and other items that are not available in regular food pantries. It is a resource that is available to all residents of Lake County. The Paper Pantry’s dates are as follows: 09/06/14, 10/04/14, 11/01/14 and there will be no paper pantry for the month of December. To qualify for this program you must provide the following
* Proof of Lake County Residency
* Meet the income guidelines
* Valid I.D as well as I.D for every individual in the house hold ( medical cards welcomed)
Items are distributed one bag per household and participants who wish to receive a bag must be pre-registered by stopping in our office prior to the distribution date. The Paper Pantry is on a ” First come, first serve” basis.
