Some of the features of the After School Program are:
♦ Homework help
♦ Computers with supervised internet access
♦ Ping-pong, console video games and more
♦ Open gym time as well as organized games
♦ Snacks provided daily
♦ Much, much more!
Please review our ASParent Handbook 2017-18 for more details on the program operations.
A Word from the Program Director
Dear Parents & Guardians,
Welcome to a new school year at The Salvation Army! We are very happy to continue the After-School Program for the Tri-City Community for 2017-18. As we begin this new school year together, it is our hope that your children’s transition into a new grade proves to be a smooth one for all. The first day of the After School Program will be on Wednesday, August 23, 2017.
The Tri-City After -School Program operates to assist you in providing a safe, positive experience for your child’s after school care. It is important to us that you feel confident in knowing that your children are being cared for in a program that is friendly, structured, and safe.
Enclosed with the application is the After School Program handbook. Please read this handbook. To avoid confusion and to answer any questions that you may have, there is a Parent/Guardian orientation meeting at 6:00pm Monday, August 21. Please attend this orientation. Applications and the first month’s tuition payment for the After School Program need to be returned to us as soon as possible. For first day admission, we must receive applications no later than Monday, August 21.
If you need of assistance with the tuition payments, please ask for a scholarship application. You will need to provide all the required documentation listed. Scholarship applications for the first month of the After School Program will be accepted until Monday, August 14.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Dean McDiarmid, Youth Development Coordinator.
We look forward to having a great school year.
