Youth and Women’s Programs

The Crystal Lake Corps Community Center offers religious and character-building programs that include Sunday school, youth troops, music classes, athletics, arts and crafts, camping, and more.

Many children who participate in our programs would not have access or opportunity to have these experiences without Salvation Army programs. The Salvation Army gives all youth a chance to experience educational enrichment, life skills development, and spiritual and physical wellness. Such experiences allow these at-risk children and adolescents to envision and pursue better futures.

Our goal is to provide a safe environment in which kids will learn and develop different life skills through our Character Building programs. We assure you and your child quality programing with trained leaders and best of all……IT’S FREE!!!!! * All of our leaders have gone through background checks and The Salvation Army Safe from Harm program.

The Salvation Army’s fun, safe and educational programs includes Sunbeams for elementary girls, Girl Guards for young women, and Adventure Corps and Explorers for boys and young men. Rooted in the scouting tradition, The Salvation Army’s character building programs are biblically based with caring, trained leaders. The program runs every Monday Night from 5:00pm to 7:15pm and includes a free dinner every week at 5:00pm.

The Salvation Army Women’s Ministries on Monday nights encompass various opportunities for all women where they are valued, encouraged, equipped, and invited to catch the joy through Christian faith and fellowship. Our mission is to provide opportunity to win women for Christ, and assist in their spiritual growth, nurturing and awareness of the needs of the family, the community, the nation and the world.

Fellowship experiences are filled with fun, food and warm friendships. Offering an opportunity to build relationships, share concerns and receive friendly advice from other women is an important and exciting component of our Women’s Ministries.

So join us, we would love to get to meet your family and grow together. The Crystal Lake Corps Community Center located at: 290 West Crystal Lake Avenue in Crystal Lake. For more information call 1-815-455-2769.
