Our Leaders

The Salvation Army is led by officers – ordained ministers – who supervise the many programs and services provided in your area. They also serve as administrators, counselors and youth leaders.

At the Freedom Center, Captains Merrill and Nancy Powers are our leaders. They come with vast experience and knowledge, interact with the community on a daily basis and are a primary point of contact for your questions, comments or requests for assistance. Captains Powers are also faith leaders, here to respond to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs in your community.

To contact us, please email us at SAHL_Chicago@usc.salvationarmy.org or call 312-421-5753.

The Salvation Army also relies on the expertise of its professional staff and advisory board members, as well as the dedication of its volunteers.
