Christmas Red Kettle Campaign

The Salvation Army’s main fundraising event, to support programs all year, in DeKalb County!

Every day except Sunday, starting November 18th, ending on Christmas Eve, December 24th.  We need volunteers for shifts of 2-4 hours, whichcan be a great opportunity for families to remember the “Reason for the Season”, as well as for service groups or organizations to get out in the community and help raise awareness of families in need.

Tools For School Program

Every August, providing backpacks and school supplies to families in need.

Community Wide Thanksgiving Food Basket Sharing Program

Work with The Salvation Army of DeKalb County and other community agencies to provide Thanksgiving Meals to families in need in the community.  Last year, we were able to serve over 1,000 families.

Christmas Toy Program

The Salvation Army partners with the DeKalb County Marine Corps League/Toys for Tots Program, as well as many other community agencies to collect donations of toys and then distribute them to families in need.  Last year, more than 2000 children were provided warm, winter clothing and gifts for the holidays.
