Salvation Army Seeks Toy Donations to Fill Shortage of Toys Needed for Christmas

December 15, 2011 (Chicago) – The Salvation Army is sending out an urgent call for toy donations to meet the needs of children it will serve this Christmas season.

Toy donations are severely down this year. It is the Army’s goal that no child in its programs goes wanting. Each year, The Salvation Army distributes approximately 80,000 toys each Christmas to needy children throughout the area. Help is needed now to meet this goal.

New, unwrapped toys for children of all ages may be brought to The Salvation Army’s Divisional Headquarters, 5040 North Pulaski Road, Chicago. For further information, or to find a Salvation Army Corps Community Center near you, please call 773-205-3520 or go to www.salarmychicago.org/locations.
